Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Jacob had plenty of practice opening presents during Hannukah, and he really enjoyed our tree this year as well. Attached are some photos of Jacob opening presents and playing with all of the wonderful things he received this year.

Jacob is an expert at unwrapping presents:

Do the Elmo dance! Uncle Mitchell and Cousin Alexander gave Jacob these great musical Elmo gloves:

Jacob's First Snowfall

This past weekend was Jacob's first time playing in the snow. While it snowed plenty last winter, he was too young (6-9 months old) to really enjoy it. Sunday morning we all got dressed up in our winter gear and headed out to play in the 10 inches of snow which fell overnight. Jacob had a blast, and we took some pictures of his first time playing in the snow.

Headed outside for the first time, the cold wind blasting his face. Jessica made this hat when he was young---we're so glad he's finally big enough to wear it:

Getting his footing while Dad proudly watches over him:

Jacob jumped right in and played in the snow:

Getting pulled in the sled for the first time. He loved it!

Jacob really enjoyed being pulled in the sled:

Jessica smiling proudly with her son. I have the best wife and son in the world:

Finally, last week we had the "Winter Gathering" dinner event for all the Day Care families. Jacob was enjoying playing the sand at the activity table, and I shot a quick interview video on my iPhone. Jacob is talking up a storm and amazing us with new words every day:

la la la la Elmo's World!

Jacob loves Sesame Street. Our house is scattered with stickers, toys, and books of Elmo and the rest of the lovable characters. This past weekend we decided to drive down to Pennsylvania and take Jacob to breakfast with the characters. He had a blast, and we are certain to return to Sesame Place once the weather gets warmer. Below are some pictures from our trip.

Newly seated, Jacob is thrilled to see all the Sesame Street signage:

It's Zoe!

After Elmo and Cookie Monster, Ernie is definitely Jacob's favorite. Hugs for Ernie!

We had a great weekend visit at Sesame Place and can't wait to return in the summer when the weather is nicer. Thanks for visiting the Golden Family Blog!
